Great to be the UK voice of Salty for this iconic kids programme that I grew up on.
Thomas the Tank Engine is a fictional steam locomotive in the children's book series "The Railway Series" by the Rev. W. Awdry. The character has since been adapted into a popular children's television show and franchise. Thomas is painted blue and carries the number "1" on his side. He is depicted as being cheeky, mischievous, and often getting into trouble due to his curiosity and impatience. He is also known for his catchphrase "I'm a really useful engine!" and his loyalty to his friends on the railway. Thomas is a beloved character by children around the world and has become an iconic part of popular culture.
Salty is a fictional diesel shunter locomotive in the children's television show "Thomas & Friends". He is painted red with cream stripes and carries the number "2991" on his side. Salty has a distinctive accent, which is meant to reflect his origins in the dockyards of Sodor. He is a friendly and hard-working engine who enjoys telling stories to his friends. Salty is known for his love of the sea and often uses nautical terms in his speech. He is respected by the other engines for his experience and knowledge of the railway, making him an important member of the Sodor community.
Whilst I can't record pretending to be Salty outside of Thomas the Tank Engine, I can provide character voices for your project.
