I went to London for this CBBC Pirate Week Voice.
I'd not yet been to the new Broadcast Centre for the BBC. What a great building and set up! Such amazing studios and I was using exactly the same mic as I do in my own studio. The Neumann U87. CBBC ran Pirate Week on television and as a new daddy to my adorable daughter, the chance of working with CBBC was an easy decision in saying yes. Note: I've since gone on to provide the voice of Santa for the Cbeebies' show GoJetters!
I do get asked for my Pirate voice quite a lot in all fairness. Since my Lego Pirates trailer, Pop up Pirate and various other projects. With a few good pirate voiceovers in the bank, I find that I seem to be right at the front of the queue when someone is looking for a top quality pirate voice!
